Party in the Garden at Nassau County Museum of Art

Sunday, June 22, 1-4 p.m.


Celebrate the beginning of summer with a garden party! Join us on a stroll through the gardens and enjoy a game of I Spy. Guided by Teaching Artist Pamela Koehler, decorate flower pots, make seed paper and create fanciful hats. Held in the Museum’s gardens, weather permitting; if it rains, we’ll have just as much fun indoors. Museum admission plus $8 per family materials fee. Reservations not needed.

The Arena Players Repertory Theater Company will present its 26th Annual Summer Shakespeare Festival, featuring the enchanting and beloved comedy A Midsummer Night’s Dream, performed in the scenic cobblestone courtyard of the Vanderbilt Mansion.

The play opens Wednesday, July 2, and runs through Sunday, August 24. Performances are Wednesday and Friday at 8:00 p.m., Sunday at 7:00 p.m. Admission is $15.00. To purchase tickets, call Arena Players at 516-293-0674.

Midsummer Night at old Westbury Gardens

6:00 pm - 9:00 pm Join us for an enchanted evening and see the gardens illuminated with lanterns and decorated by the magical faeries. Stroll, relax and enjoy music and dance performances. General Admission: $15.00 at gate; members, $12.00; free for children 17 and under when accompanied by an adult (rain date June 22).


This is a wonderful night for the entire family. In addition to the enchanting decorations, the evening features a series of live music and dance performances by the critically acclaimed Lori Belilove & The Isadora Duncan Dance Company with additional appearance by The Beliloveables.

Old Westbury Gardens

In collaboration with Chamber Players International, this event returns for a seventh season. World class soloists join the Festival Chamber Orchestra for a series of concedrts performing works by Mozart and Haydn.


Lawn searing. Bring a blanket, chairs, and a sun umbrella (there is very limited shade in the concert area). Concerts are included with admission.

Come see over 5,000 hand-carved Jack O'Lanterns light up the night at one of Long Island's most treasured historic mansions, Old Westbury Gardens! RISE of the Jack O'Lanterns features the work of dozens of local artists and sculptors in a unique walk-through experience that's suitable for visitors of all ages. Our trail takes about 45 minutes to 1 hour to walk through!

Family fun, fine art and fabulous crafts outdoors at the museum. Produced by the American Concern for Art and Craftsmanship, one of the nation’s most prominent craft festivals, returns to Nassau County Museum of Art. Exhibiting craftspeople offer functional and decorative pottery, molded and dyed leather, precious and nontraditional jewelry, blown and stained glass, contemporary furniture, wearable art and more. Continuous craft demonstrations, alpaca shearing and entertainment along with a food court featuring a selection of international foods, beverages and desserts. Admission is $8 for adults, $1 Senior discount Saturday only; children 12 and under are free; does not include Museum admission. Free parking.
